Joanes Simon-Perret: Human Intervention
Site-specific mixed-media project, 2015
Human Intervention is a work that opens reflection into different changes in landscapes. Most of the time, urban fittings do not fit into the landscape: they are there purely for practical reasons. The artist erases a part of the fittings located in peri-urban areas by painting the landscape directly on them. Electric poles disappear little by little, until the artist ends his intervention. He gives an aesthetic sense to these landscapes, and suggests ways of intervening in nature.
